Carb Nite® / Three questions...
« on: May 07, 2013, 07:40:52 PM »
First, Since olive oil is now (or always was) bad, what type of oil could I use to make salad dressing? I usually use half olive oil and half MCT oil in the Good Seasons Italian dressing.

Second, I'm a contractor and very busy through the day and sometimes getting home late at night. Many nights cooking and preparing meats and meals is out. I was using one protein shake during the day w/ fats for convenience. I have tried to limit that to only on days that I need too, but since Whey raises your insulin, would a shake of Casein and PF Monster V (beef) be OK to get some extra protein without the problems of Whey?

Lastly, I don't eat carbs after cardio, but what is the appropriate post cardio protocol for CN? I have been wondering this question. Right now I'm using the CBL post workout shake minus carbs and hydros. Is this anywhere close?

Thanks.

Any thoughts on using this for healthier backloading? I thought I remember seeing that sweet potatoes are acceptable.

Carb Back-Loading™ / Numerous off days between Lifts
« on: February 06, 2012, 01:11:46 PM »
Naomi or anyone else,

Naomi mentioned that she only lifts twice a week in another thread and I decided to move my question out of that one since it was probably disrespectful to redirect the other gentleman's thread like that.

My question to Naomi or anyone else is does anyone have any experience with 2 workouts a week and what you are doing on your multiple days between as far as your backloading diet? I know there was mention of this in the book but I wasn't sure. Are you guys/gals still backloading on all your off days or going no-carb on certain ones? Thanks.
