Ha!
Does anyone else think he's just a tool w/ something to sell? All he talks about in his podcasts is how he has a 6 pack and eats handfuls of butter and doesn't work out. That little nightline spot would beg to differ (except the not working out part). I'm right there w/ you d$$$. It's like sheesh man, go lift something heavy.

You honestly think he's a tool?  The guy makes no money from his blog (in fact he loses money), he provides free information week after week regardless of whether or not you buy anything from him, he provides non-affiliate links to every product that he hasn't made himself, and half of the population on the DH Forums wouldn't even be here if Kiefer wasn't on his podcast.

Say what you want about how he comes across (and how his little sidekick adds absolutely no value to the show), about the stupid big deal he makes about having a six-pack when he also won't even respond to questions about his lifting numbers, the fact that he trumpets around not exercising which his idiot followers seem to have embraces, but in the grand scheme of things, the guy's pretty fucking awesome in my book.

Eh, to each his own.

Where are you guys getting dextrose?
Amazon. Now foods version is gmo free. At least that's what the info says.

Try Mango Sticky Rice:

Boil Thai Jasmine rice in coconut milk with tapioca dextrose to thicken (and sugar or whatever else you want), then put the mixture in a bowl and add mango (and other fruits if you want too).

-Adam

That sounds pretty damn amazing. I'm digging this thread.

Carb Nite® / Grass-Fed Cheddah Gon' Make Me Fat?
« on: July 20, 2012, 04:44:23 PM »
Hey guys, I found some Kerrygold Dubliner at my local Whole Foods for super cheap, and I was wondering--I'm on Carb Nite now, and it's zero carb, but I've heard various things about "if you stall out with fat loss the first thing you should cut out is cheese".  Does this apply here and should it be used in moderation or what exactly is the deal?  It's salted unfortunately, but that shouldn't stall fat loss, only weight loss if anything I would assume.

It's so damn good I can see myself eating at least a pound of it a day if I get the green light.  What say you to the cheese DH community?

-Adam

Man, that cheese is incredible. For real.

So it's basically just rice with chocolate mixed in right?
Yeah. I used sushi rice, 2 lindt 90% chocolate bars melted & 1/3 cup of dextrose. I cooked the rice with these ratios
1 cup of rice
3 cups of water
Bring to a boil, cover & simmer for 20 minutes all together. It'll be kinda soupy.

Double boiler melt the chocolate add the dextrose. 5 minutes before the rice is completely done add the chocolate/dextrose mixture. Stir together vigorously and simmer for the remaining 5 minutes.
Remove from the heat & let rest for a few minutes to set up then add milk if you so desire. I just grabbed a fork and tore the bottom out of the bowl! It's basically chocolate rice pudding.

This recipe is a good place to start:

http://blog.junbelen.com/2011/01/18/how-to-make-champorado-chocolate-rice-porridge/

I use cocoa powder so I don't have to mess with a double boiler to melt the the chocolate. Enjoy!

DUDE! This was awesome! I plowed thru 3 cups of rice made this way in about 2 freakin minutes! This is gonna be a staple food now. Thanks so much for passing this along!
Cheers!

Champorado!

It's a sweet, chocolate rice porridge. I used to make it with brown rice and stevia, but after CBL I'm thoroughly enjoying it with white sticky rice and sugar.  :)

Tonight is my CarbNite, recipe please?? :)

I do CNS and do 1 full body blast session a week before my CarbNite and as long as I keep my food intake strong during the week I have really good strength gains and maintain & even build a good bit of muscle mass. It seems like if I hit it super hard once a week that I recover properly my body responds really well. If you want you can check out my log to see what my diet & CarbNites are like. My workout is basically squats, deads, bench, ohp and some accessory work.

Can you lose weight on carbnite while not in a calorie deficit. There's been a lot of discussions on forum about this lately. What are the recommendations?

Please clear this up kiefer
Yes please. There seems to be a pissing contest going on over this topic.
