Hi everyone I've just read a section in CBL (I've pasted it at the bottom) that saysin the absence of insulin, cortisol is catabolic to fat cells and this is whyit's important to skip breakfast. I've been thinking about doing HIIT sessionsin the morning with the intention of boosting this effect and thereforaccelerating fat loss. I just want to make sure that I've not misunderstoodanything and I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this?Any advice would be greatly appreciated.Michael"When acting without elevated insulin levels and in a natural manner—so without being constantly elevated like during chronic stress—cortisol triggers the breakdown of triglycerides into free- fatty acids (FFAs) for metabolization a process known as lipolysis1,4. The morning before eating is the one consistent time when insulin levels are very low and cortisol is high, i.e. cortisol accelerates fat burning in the morning if nothing interferes."
