Hi everybody. This is Kiefer with DangerouslyHardcore.com bringing you another one of the special Christmas Tubecast with a tip about ‘HIIT Training for Men’.

So men need to stage their HIIT differently than women and they have some more options. For doing Carb Nite, you probably really want to limit your HIIT until the day after your Carb Nite or two days after. You want to try to wipe out your glycogen stores.  Men release glycogen far more easily than women. So, that will help you wipe out your glycogen stores and keep the fat burning going through the rest of the week.

If you are on Carb Back-Loading or if you want to implement it around your training, it’s best for men to try to get their HIIT session before the training session. Now that’s two reasons – one is it stimulates the Mtor pathway of growth so you get greater muscle stimulation when you train. But also, there is some research that suggests that doing your HIIT training immediately prior to resistance training can increase the testosterone response of your resistance training session. So, it’s kind of a one two-HIIT. You get two systems that are more impacted for muscle growth and of course when your testosterone levels are higher it accelerates fat loss as well.

So that’s the tip on ‘HIIT Training for Men’ leading up into the holiday season. I’ll be back tomorrow.
